4K Community-Based Sites

Four-year-old Columbus children, whose families choose to enroll them, attend kindergarten in one of five settings. The five settings include Cardinal Country Day Care, Columbus Head Start, Columbus Pre-School, Red Bud Daycare, and St. Jerome's School. Each site has a teacher certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to teach pre-school-aged children. The Columbus School District has a contractual agreement with each site that helps assure that developmentally appropriate, quality education continues along with nurturing direction and redirection.
