The purpose of this activity is to provide interested high school students with a vehicle for practical participation in intra-school and inter-school competition in Forensics. The Forensics season begins in October with students searching for selections and preparing their presentations. Try-outs and auditions are conducted in December with the squad being selected just prior to Christmas vacation. Competition begins in January with invitational, conference, and WHSFA contests, such as Sub-District, District, and State. Any freshman, sophomore, junior or senior Columbus High School student is eligible to compete providing he/she is in good academic standing and possess excellent character and integrity. The season ends with the State contest which is held in April.
