Community Learning Services Activities and Programs
Below is a list of Community Learning Services Offerings. The links will guide you to a permission slip for the activities. These offerings are for an student in the Columbus Area. If you need a hard copy of the permission slips please email firstname.lastname@example.org

Lego League 4th and 5th graders-- FIRST LEGO League challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. During the Lego League season, teams will choose and solve a real-world problem in the Project. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game.
Chess Club 2nd-8th graders--Chess Club is offered starting on Tuesdays for 9 weeks. Please fill out the permission slip and get it back to Ms. Stovall or Mrs. Denk before it starts.
Art Club K-2nd grade and 3rd grade DCS students. Art Club is coming to CES for 7 weeks. Please fill out the permission slip adn get it back to Ms. Flor or Mrs. Denk before it starts. Limited to the first 25.
Art Club 3rd-8th grade students. Art Club is coming to CIS/CMS for 7 weeks. Please fill out the permission slip adn get it back to Ms. McDaniel or Mrs. Denk before it starts. Limited to the first 25.
Running Club 3rd-12th graders interesed in running. Running Club will meet on Monday's From 3:30-4:30. It meets all year long, in heat, cold and rain. It will not meet if thunder or lightening.
Kickball Club 2nd-8th graders interested in Kickball on Thursdays. Please fill out the permission slip and return to Mrs. Denk or Ms. Stovall. Limited to the first 25.
Blessings in a Backpack is program that feeds hungry children over the weekend. It costs $100.00 to feed a child for the 38 school week. The pamphlet gives more information on the program. If you would like your child to participate in the program please fill in the Opt in letter. If you could add your child's name to the sheet that would be helpful.
