CHS Choral Music

  • The Columbus High School Choir is an open and inviting atmosphere for anyone who wants to sing. Whether you've been singing since birth or just like humming along to music in the car, everyone is welcome in the choir room. Columbus High School has three curricular ensembles.

    1. Treble Choir is an auditioned ensemble of women that meet during 1A at the high school. Concert Choir is a choir open to anyone interested in singing and meets during 1B.

    2. La Voce, Columbus's extra-curricular vocal ensemble, is an auditioned ensemble that performs a variety of music. Depending on the time of year, they may perform as a show choir, vocal jazz ensemble, and a cappella group.

    3. In the spring of the year, the music department puts on a musical theatre production. The production involves students as actors, singers, dancers, orchestra members, crew members, light and sound technicians, and a variety of other jobs. The parents and community also have been extremely supportive of the musical, providing their time and energy to help make the performance memorable for all involved.
