The Columbus School District Seeks Parent, Staff and Community input in the Search for the New High School Principal
The School District of Columbus is in the process of establishing an Advisory Committee to participate in interviewing candidates and providing input to the Superintendent for the position of the High School Principal. We are extending this invitation to community and staff members and encourage involvement in this most important process.
Advisory Committee participants will be selected proportionately and randomly from interested members of the following groups: Parents of current or former students, other interested members of the community, and staff members who work in the High School, or others important to the operations and programming of the high school.
If you are interested in serving on the advisory committee, please submit your name and contact information to Pam Zander at 920-623-5950 or email email@example.com to express your interest. Names should be submitted by April 12, 2019.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23 and 24, 2019. On Tuesday evening, the Advisory Committee will meet from 4:00-4:30 pm for interview preparations. Interviews begin at 5:00 pm, each will be one hour in length and depending on the number of candidates interviewed, committee members would be expected to commit about seven hours of time for the two evenings. The maximum number of interviews on Tuesday evening will be three. Participants would be required to attend both evenings.
Each advisory panel member will provide his/her commentary on each candidate, identifying perceived strengths and concerns. At the end of the interviews on Wednesday, the advisory panel’s input will be integrated to narrow the list to the finalist candidate(s) for the position.
