In order to maintain social distancing on the school buses, due to COVID-19, the Columbus School District and Lamers Bus Lines are unable to offer Buy-A-Seat for the 2020-21 school year. The Columbus School District offers a "Buy-A-Seat" program for students who are not eligible for transportation. Please note the following:
-The service is only available on routes where there is bus capacity.
-The service is only available if the rider applying to "buy-a-seat" does not require an additional stop on the route.
-There is a two week open application period prior to the start of each school year for riders who wish to "buy-a-seat" for the year.
-Mid-year requests for this service will not be accepted unless the rider has moved residences.
-The cost for the service is $175 per student with a max of $350 per family. This fee is applied to the student's school fees. Parents may pay in person or online. Unpaid buy-a-seat fees from prior years must be paid before a subsequent year application can be accepted.
-Buy-a-seat riders who are suspended from the bus for behavior reasons will receive a year-long suspension.
-There are no refunds for this service with no exceptions.
